THE RUBBER SOLE FACTORY

THE RUBBER SOLE FACTORY

BETTER FOR NATURE

In 2020 we made our first samples here - a special sole with the imprint of a leopard, which symbolises the traces of an animal on the ground. Just like it, we also leave a mark on the planet as a business - only we want it to be as little as possible.

This sole factory helped us get a hold of natural rubber material for the soles. That helps us decrease our impact on the environment, and they are also a unique resource in the area, meaning less transport and less emissions.

LESS WASTE, MORE RECYCLING

The factory we worked with is famous for recycling their own rubber leftovers into new materials for more soles. To create that circle of production with much less waste, they have invested heavily in innovative machinery and recycling facilities.

A leader in the field, the factory was founded in 1992 by Antonio near Porto, Portugal. He started with only 4 rubber pressing machines, 6 employees, and a single customer. Today, the factory is one of the largest producers of the Iberian Peninsula, and working with them is a privilege.
